  John Caswell, Sen., was the son of Thomas Caswell, of Taunton, and was born July 1, 1656. He settled at the east part (of Norton) of what is now Mansfield. He is supposed to have been the John Caswell who married Elizabeth Hall, Nov. 26, 1689. He had six children.
