  Obituary: Ruth L. Vagg, 87, of Litchfield, died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at the Branch County Community Health Center. Mrs. Vagg was born January 14, 1913, to Frederick and Louise (Hartwig) Sandow. She married Orson R. Vagg October 10, 1934. He preceded her in death in 1998. Mrs. Vagg was a homemaker and was retired from the Coldwater Regional Center. She attended the Litchfield United Methodist Church, and was a former member of the Farmers Club and Home Extension Club. Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette Carey of Waldorf, Maryland; a son, Gene Vagg of Jackson; a brother, Howard Sandow of Brockport, New York; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry; a sister; and a brother. Funeral services will be private and are being handled by the George White Funeral Home in Litchfield. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Litchfield. Memorials are suggested to the Litchfield District Library.
