      VL Elizabeth Hyde (1323), born at Poiiltney, Vt., 23
      Feb., 1785, second dangbtcr of Capt. Jedediali Hyde (307),
      by his second wife, Elizabetli (Brown) Parker, was a great
      granddaughter of William Hyde (6) of the third genera-
      tion. She m. 11 Sept., 1808, John M. Van Buskirk, born
      at Cambridge, N. Y., son of Martin Van Buskirk and
      Mary Van Ness. They removed to Plattsburgh, N. Y.,
      where he d. 22 Oct., 1821, s. p. She then m. N'ov., 1824,
      Daniel Mills of Johnson, Vt, a widower with five
      children. He d. 25 Jan., 1854. She was living at ISTorth
      Enfield, ]^. H., in 1856, with her adopted son, Russell
      Hyde Van Buskirk. He was b. 3 Jan., 1815, at Cam-
      bridge, N. Y., and was adopted by her and her first husband
      in infancy. He m. May, 1842, Rebecca Van Buskirk, a
      niece of his father by adoption, and in 1856 they had two
      children : Sanford R., b. 14 Dec, 1843 ; and Ophelia L.,
      b. June, 1851.
