  Lamont Shultes, a former resident of Slingerlands, died on Oct 5 at Clearwater, Florida. Mr. Shultes, a retired tax consultant, made his home in Albany until two years ago when he moved to Florida. He was the father of Davis L. Shultes, formerly of 11 South Helderberg Parkway, Slingerlands, who served for 26 years as chief of the statistical bureau of the State Insurance department. He moved to Clearwater in 1963. Mr. Shultes, a former member of Calvary Methodist church, Albany, is survived by three daughters in addition to his son: Mrs. B. V. Smith Jr. of Newtonville, Mrs. Edwin H. Freihofer of of Loudonville, and Mrs. Harold Wiley of Valley Falls. Funeral services were held on Oct. 8 with Dr. Robert E. Coleman of the First Presbyterian church of Clearwater officiating. - The Altmont Enterprise, Oct. 15, 1965
